We all have wondered what is beneath ocean , what is the depth of it and many more ! But there are many other mysterious about ocean hidden in it.Let us explore one by one
95% of the ocean bottom is unseen by the humans:
Whats below the seafloor? We all know that there are rocks present in it. But below that, there are much more things to look for. Researchers have found living microbes below the sea floor. Researchers tell that these microbes are a result of life before millions of years which is now submerged under ocean.
Brine pools :
Brine pools are nothing but lake like a body in the ocean. Yes, the ocean has lakes. They are large pools of water which have high salinity mostly 3 to 8 times that of surrounding ocean water. They are very dense there are cases reported where things have floated over it. They are lethal to sea animals.
Milky seas:
The white glowing effect of seawater during night time. It can also be known as mareel. There are many reported cases of milky seas via satellite images. There is a conspiracy that it is formed by bioluminescent bacteria but it is not proved yet. These type of milky sea can be found in Indian oceans frequently.
52 Hertz whale:
There is an unidentified whale in the ocean which calls at the frequency of 52 which is unusual because most of the whale species call at not more than 20 Hertz. It was first detected in 1989, every year during August - September the call is recorded. People also doubt it as a hybrid species between a Blue whale and other species. It is also called the loneliest whale.
Upsweep:
There were few mysterious sounds which were heard using hydrophone arrays. The sound appears to be seasonal, generally reaching peaks in spring and autumn, but it is unclear whether this is due to changes in the source or seasonal changes in the propagation environment.
Gigantic deep water creatures:
In areas of poor nutrient availability, things grow very slowly, and will, therefore, reach sexual maturity at a later stage. This necessitates that they grow for a longer period, and therefore get larger. It's been observed that a certain type of cold-water tube-worm can live for over 250 years.
But this is just a hypothesis. The real reason is still unknown.
