ABS can also be called as Anti-lock braking System . It is used to avoid skidding of vehicles while applying brakes so that the driver can steer the vehicle in desired direction. ABS works by ensuring that no wheel in the vehicle is looked up. It works on the principle of threshold braking and cadence braking.
